You never fail until you stop trying quote meaning:

When you spend a lot of time laboring, putting your sweat, money, and time in a project only for it to be rejected or not gain traction is just straight up hard.

It’s hard to imagine starting at ground zero. But the truth is you’re not.

They didn’t need to raise money initially, they didn’t need a sophisticated interface and developer to design the site. They just needed proof of concept and to quickly and cheaply evaluate it.

Granted that’s not all there’s was to the story. They later had to overcome the chicken and the egg problem – critical mass of users looking to rent and enough listings to accommodate.
